NotesIn 1872, Annie, 7, arrived (with her sisters, Audrey, 7, and Christina Anderson, 9, and POSSIBLY a brother, Pat Arcy Anderson, no age given) in Quebec, Canada, with a group of 63 children. The Anderson girls were sent to Marchmont home in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

In 1881, Annie Walker, 14, born in Scotland, is shown as an adopted daughter of Robert and Margaret Walker in Fitzroy, Carleton, Ontario, Canada. Other family members included: Robert WALKER, 40, farmer; Margret WALKER, 36; John WALKER, 17; Robert WALKER, 14, James Geo. WALKER, 13; William WALKER, 11; Mary Louise WALKER, 9; Allain H. WALKER, 8; Arthur W. WALKER, 6; Andrew C. WALKER, 4; Lila Maud WALKER, 3; and Garret F. WALKER; 1.

In 1900, Anna Walker, 30, born Jan 1870, is shown residing in Gibbon, Nebraska, as the adopted daughter of Robert Walker 68, married for 37 years, born Ireland, emigrated to US 1882, Janitor in Public buildings, and Margaret Walker Wife, 56, born Canada, emigrated 1884. Other family members included: James G. Son 30 born Canada Druggist; William H. Son, 28, Canada, Physician; Allen A. Son, 26 Canada, Salesman, Hardware; Andrew C. Son 21; Lila, Daughter 21 born Canada; and Garnet F. D., 19 Son Canada Salesman, Drugs.

Annie Anderson died in Nebraska on August 5, 1908, of cancer. Her sister, Christina, had seen very little of her after her adoption by Robert and Margaret Walker. Her personal effects were burned at her death. Her adopted father Robert died in 20 Oct 1923 Gibbon, Nebraska, and her adopted mother, Margaret, died 15 Feb 1933 Santa Paula, California.
