NotesThe following records have been discerned for Private Samuel Spargo. Canadian Virtual War Memorial states that Samuel was the son of the late Nicholas and Jane Spargo.

1901 English Census records place Samuel (6) and John (8) Spargo as boarders in the household of Mary and George Fear in Bluntisham, Somersham, Huntingdonshire, England. Both boys state they were born in London, England.
