His Next of Kin was Mrs. Mary Prouse of 55 Ceambridge Street, Uplands, Swansea, South Wales. He had previous military experience with the 54th Regiment. 5'5" in height with dark hair and eyes. Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that he had previously been reported Missing, and then presumed to have died in an attack north of Courcelette, Somme, Picardie, France. His Next of Kin was Mrs. Mary Prowse, his mother, of 55 Cambridge Street, Uplands, Swansea, South Wales. His body was not recovered for burial, his name is listed on the Vimy Memorial, Vimy, Nord Pas de Calais, France.
