1911 Canadian Census records place Harry Noble as a Barnardo Boy in the household of Henrietta and Albert Goltz of Muskoka, Ontario. Harry states he was born Jun 1896 and he immigrated from England in 1907.

Attestation papers were signed 7 May 1915 in Lindsay, Ontario. Harry Elbon Noble was born in Pitsea, Essex, England on 10 Apr 1896. His Next of Kin was his Aunt, Miss Sia Noble of 8 Upper Marylebone Street, Portland Place, London West, England. 5' 5 1/4" in height with blue eyes and dark brown hair. His religion was listed as Church of England.

Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that he was Killed in Action while his Battalion was in their first tour in the trenches north east of Courcelette, Somme, Picardie, France. He took shelter in a dugout and was killed by enemy shell fire. His Next of Kin was Miss Sis Noble, his Aunt, of 28 Upper Marylebone, Portland Place, London, England. He was buried in Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont, Somme, Picardie, France. Plot: II. B. 24.
