In 1912, William King, 7 (along with brother Charles King, 9) arrived at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a group of 11 children. Their brother, Thomas King, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of Barnardo children in 1910.

None of the brothers ever saw each other again after they were separated.

On February 11, 1935, at Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was solemnized between Alma Margretta McIntee, born August 5, 1905, in Saugeen Township, Bruce, Ontario, Canada.

William and Alma King had three children.
