1911 Canadian Census records state that Frank Vernon was born in May of 1892 in England. He is in residence with G Stewart of Grey North (Meaford is a within that district) Ontario and is listed as a son. He immigrated from England in 1903.

Attestation papers were signed 1 Dec 1915 in Meaford, Ontario. Frank Vernon was born in Manchester, Lancaster, England on 8 May 1893. His Next of Kin is listed as his brother, William Vernon of Vancouver, British Columbia however there is an additional listing for a Foster Mother named Miss L Gibbons of 196 Heeley Bank Road, Sheffield, England. His occupation is listed as Farmer. 5'4 1/2" in height with blue eyes and dark hair, he had four vaccination marks on each arm. His religion was listed as Church of England.

Commonwealth War Graves Registers states he was Killed in Action, he is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Zonnebeke, West Flanders, Belgium. Plot: XIV. G. 3.
