On August 18, 1915, Walter Parker enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in Liverpool, England; that his next of kin was Mrs. D. R. McDonald, who resided in Bury, Ontario, Canada; that his birth date was March 21, 1890; that he was a laborer; that he was in the active militia and had served in the military previously with the 8th R.
