Cecil Norman Clark was christened on June 29, 1884, at Rugby, Warwickshire, England. Parents: Norman and Emily Gertrude Clarke.

Family tradition has it that Norman Clarke's farm failed (sometime around 1892-1893) and the family was split up.

When Cecil arrived in Canada is vague. He stated that it was 1904 but no passenger list has been found. Brother Clifford Clarke, 14, arrived on the Tunisian with a group of children from the Liverpool Catholic Childrens Protection Society in 1902.

Cecil and his brother, Clifford, obtained a homestead in Alberta, Canada: Section 12; Township 19; Range 20; Meridian 4; Film #2785 in Accession #1970.313 at Provincial Archives of Alberta; File # 1436164.

In 1932, C. Norman Clarke, employee for the City, was residing with his wife, Jean, at 224 7th Avenue West, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. N. Clifford Clark, farmer homeowner, Industrial Calgary.

Cecil Norman Clarke died at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, on January 30, 1958 aged 73. He resided in Oak Bay, Victoria, British Columbia. He had been resident in Victoria and in British Columbia for 6 years and in Canada for 52 years. He had worked as a gardener up until 1951. His wife, Jean Higginson Clarke, died April 23, 1972.
