A death registration was found for Mary Ann Rondeau: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1836; Year of Registration: 1874; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; Age at Death: 38; District: Shoreditch; County: London, Middlesex; Volume: 1c; Page: 135.

In 1881, Esther Rondeau, 10 years of age, was shown residing at 1 George Yard, St George In The East, London, England. Other family members included: Catherine Rondeau, 28, married, charwoman; Esther Rondeau, 10; Katie Rondeau, 6; William Rondeau, 3; and aunt, Annie Ryan, 26, hawker. (Source: 1881 Census of England; Class: RG11; Piece: 452; Folio: 33; Page: 60; GSU roll: 1341098.) [EDITORS NOTE: Catherine Ryan Rondeau was actually the wife of James Rondeau, the nephew of Samuel John Rondeau, and therefore not Esther's mother.]

In 1891, Esther Rondeau, 20, was shown as a domestic to John and Euphemia Gray of Nelson, Halton, Ontario, Canada.

On March 12, 1895, at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Esther Rondeau, 23, servant, died of consumption, about 2 years duration. Esther is buried at Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, along with 46 other Barnardo children who were a part of Hazlebrae House.
