Notes Hester McClements and two brothers (Thomas and William) were separated from their family after their father died (sometime between 1906 and 1914). Older siblings remained in Ireland. Library and Archives Canada passenger lists show a William McClements, age 7, arriving on the Corinthian, July 1, 1914 and a Thomas J. McClements, age 12, arriving on the Scandinavian, March 19, 1915. Hester (my grandmother) spent the war years in England and arrived on the Scotian, June 29, 1920. She met and married my grandfather, William J. Norton, (Glen Williams, Ontario)sometime in the 1920's and settled in Georgetown, Ontario. They had four boys (Clifford, Albert, Douglas, Bruce).
