NotesIn 1901, Minnie Mills, 7 years of age, was residing at 24 New Town, Horsham, Sussex, England. Other family members included: Henry Mills, 42, bricklayer; Ellen Mills, 42; Elizabeth E. Mills, 5; and Elsie Mills, 2. (Source: 1901 Census of England; Class: RG13; Piece: 950; Folio: 174; Page: 19.)

In 1913, Minnie Mills, 19, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with 119 girl domestics accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd as matron en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. (Sisters Elsie and Elizabeth Mills arrived in 1910 on the Sicilian with Barnardos.)

On January 7, 1922, in Point Seward, Lambton, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Minnie Mills, 28, servant, born in London, England, daughter of Martin Henry Mills and Ellen Chalk; and Arthur Dawson, 40, widower, G.T.R. employee, born in London, England, son of Edward John Dawson and Mary Clinch.

Minnie Mills' father, Martin Henry Mills, widower, died at the age of 63 years on December 18, 1922, in Sarnia General Hospital, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He had immigrated from England to Canada in 1919 and had resided in Point Seward, Ontario, Canada, for 6 months. Minnie's husband, Arthur Dawson, was the informant for the death certificate.
