On March 25, 1897, Hy. Bennewith, 9, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 67 Fegan boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canda.

Henry Ernest Bennewith was killed in action on April 23, 1918, at Souchez, France. He is buried at the Sucrerie Cemetery at Ablain, St. Nazsire, 1/2 mile West of Souchez, France.
