NotesClement was born on 23rd May 1896 , he was the son of William and Alice West, he had two sisters - Alice born approx 1883/84 and Mary Ann (known as Polly ) born 1891.

Clement and his sisters hot "hard times" -- father died and mother had no choice but to surrender herself to family and workhouse. Clement was left in the care of his Paternal Uncles , however they tired of him (struggled to keep him) and he was given to his paternal grandfather (who was almost blind and could not work) .. on 17th May 1895 Clement was handed over to Middlemore Homes by his Grandfather.. less than one month later (15 June 1895) he set sail for Canada, he was immediately placed with the McKinnon family of Lot 33 Prince Edward Island, on the 7th April 1911 he married Margaret Annie Matheson. they shortly afterward moved to Brandon manitoba where they lived until Clements death on 8th June 1964, his wife passed away June 1963, they had one Daughter -Dulcilla Frances West who had two sons by her marriage to a Mr Drysdale.. Drucill (Frances) passed away 1994 . (I am still searching for her death and her descendants )
