In 1891, Hette Hart, 8 years of age, was shown as a boarder in the home of John and Hannah Ellis at 18 King Street, St. Stephen, Norfolk, England. (Source: 1891 Census of England; Class: RG12; Piece: 1527; Folio 27; Page 18; GSU roll: 6096637.)
In 1895, Hetty Hart, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 298 Barnardo children accompanied by Mr. Owens and en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
On June 9, 1896, at Barnardos House, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Hetty Hart, 12, died of acute meningitis, 3 weeks duration. Hetty is buried at Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, along with 46 other Barnardo children who were a part of Hazlebrae House.

OUR GIRLS 12-year-old: HART Hetty of the last September party died at Hazel Brae in June and is buried at Little Lake Cemetery. Her whole time in Canada was soent at Hazel Brae. She has an older sister: HART Minnie living at Victoria Harbour.
