Notes Parents: Spencer Frost and Esther Paine.
Lizzie's father, Spencer Frost, was born August 11, 1843 in Haughley, Stow, Suffolk, England. On June 11, 1862 Spencer married Deborah Pittock. They had 8 children: Emily, Edward, Kate, Hannah, William, Spencer, Alice and Arthur. Due to severe depression after the birth of Arthur, Deborah entered into a facility. On October 22, 1915, Deborah died at Warley Hospital, Essex, England. After Deborah entered the facility, Esther Paine began caring for Deborah and Spencer's children. Spencer and Esther became partners and had 7 children of their own: Helena, Frank, Jesse (died young), Winifred, Ernest, Lizzie, and Charles.
On December 13, 1893 Spencer Frost died leaving Esther alone with 6 children. Four months later in 1894 Ernest (age 10) and Lizzie(age 7) were taken away from their mother and admitted to Barnardo Homes.
In 1900, Lizzie Frost, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 121 Barnardo girls from London, Mile End, Whitechapel Workhouses en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Lizzie Frost stayed in touch her mother, but many letters were not delivered due to Lizzie being moved from place to place. Esther Paine died on November 9,1901 at Plaistow, West Ham, Essex, England.
On October 13, 1914, at Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota, USA, a marriage was registered between Lizzie Louise Frost and Daniel Morgan Jones (born July 31, 1878, Fox Lake, Dodge, Wisconsin, USA).
Daniel and Lizzie Frost Jones had at least 4 children: Eugene Jones, born July 23, 1915, Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota, USA (died 1937, Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA); Maurice Jones, born June 6, 1917, Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota, USA (died April 10, 1975, Oceanside, San Diego County, California, USA); Burton Jones, born May 26, 1918, Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota, USA (died August 1, 1977, Carson, Los Angeles County, California, USA); and Le Roy Jones.
Daniel Morgan Jones died April 18, 1951, Sedro Wooley, Skagit, Washington, USA. Lizzie Louise Frost Jones died March 3, 1973, in Seattle, King, Washington, USA.
