In 1901, George Waltham, 4, and his brother, Leonard Waltham, 2, were boarding in the home of William Jenner, 40, carman, and his wife, Eliza Jenner, 43, at 31 Western Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. Another child, Elsie Sargeant, 5, was boarding with the two boys. All three were noted as being from Dr. Barnardos Home.

In 1909, George Waltham, 11 (along with his brother, Leonard Waltham, 10), arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 161 children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, George Waltham, 14, is shown as a servant on farm for Ezra Kriter and family in Cayuga South, Haldimand, Ontario. His date of birth is shown as April 1896, and his immigration year as 1908.

On March 23, 1916, George Waltham is shown as the next of kin on the Attestation for the enlistment in the Canadian Armed Forces of his brother, Leonard Waltham.
