A birth registration was found for Sydney Arthur Burberry: Year of Registration: 1891; Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun; District: Lambeth; County: Greater London, London, Surrey; Volume: 1d; Page: 384. Parents: Albert Burberry and Charlotte Elizabeth Ashby, married 1883, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.

Parents gave up all 5 children. Sidney and Maggie May went to the Lambeth Work house. The other children were cared for by the Ashby family (maternal grand parents).

Burberry; and Charles Weavers Burberry (born February 12, 1917); and one daughter, Ruth Evelyn Burberry (born July 7, 1920; died July, 1923 - cause of death: rickets).

On June 5, 1917, Sidney Arthur Burberry registered with the United States Draft Board (Roll: 1712298). He declared that he resided in New Lebanon, New York; that he was a naturalized citizen; that he was a self-employed painter; and that he was married with 2 children. He was described as medium height; medium build; brown eyes; and light hair.

In 1920, Sidney Burberry, 28, house painter, was shown residing at 88 Grove, Otsego, Otsego, New York, USA, along with his wife, Daisy Burberry, 27; and children: Roland Burberry, 4-10/12; and Charles Burberry, 2-10/12. In 1953, the Polk's Albany New York's City Directory / Albany Directory of Householders shows Sidney Burberry as residing at 129 Lincoln, the Apts., Albany, New York.

Sidney Arthur Burberry died on September 2, 1960, at Vero Beach, Florida, USA. Daisy Amelia Weavers Burberry died February 20, 1993.

Judy, his grand daughter and her husband started a family search and discovered this information about Sidney in Lambeth. Trying to put all the pieces together.
