In 1881, Hannah Keough, 6 years of age, was shown residing at 88 Gerard Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Other family members included: Martin Keough, 32, peddler; Mary Ann Keough, 26, peddler; Mary Keough, 4; James Keough, 2; Margaret Keough, 2 months. In 1885, Ann Kehoe, 11 (along with brother James Kehoe, 6; and sister, Mary Kehoe, 8), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 136 children from the Catholic Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Richard Yates.

Hannah Keogh was found as an elementary student at the salle D'Asile Saint-Vincent De Paul: Couvent Du Coteau Saint-Louis Banlieue, Montreal.

On November 19, 1894, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Malcolm McDonald, 28, widower, carpenter, born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, to James and Barbara McDonald; and Emma [sic] Elizabeth Keogh, 20, born in Liverpool, England, to Martin Keogh and Mary Ann Monaghan.

Malcolm Walter and Hannah Elizabeth Keogh McDonald had at least 11 children: James McDonald, born June 17, 1896 in Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario; Malcolm Ernest McDonald, born February 15, 1898 in Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario; Barbara Gladys McDonald, born Juen 17, 1899 in Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario; Margaret Mary McDonald, born June 8, 1901; Donald John McDonald, born 1903; Malcolm Walter McDonald, born January 31, 1905; Arthur Gerald McDonald, born February 17, 1908; Catherine Eulalia McDonald, born October 5, 1909; Jane Edith McDonald, born October 5, 1909; Hugh Gordon McDonald; and John Howard McDonald.

In 1901, Annie McDonald, 26, was shown residing at Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada, along with her husband, Malcolm McDonald, 47, carpenter; stepdaughter, Jessie McDonald, 13; and children: James McDonald, 4; and Glaydis McDonald, 1. Malcom Walter McDonald died in 1923. They are both buried on Wolfe Island, Ontario, Canada.
