In 1901, Arthur Burton, 5 years of age, and Edward Burton, 7 years of age, were shown as boarders, residing in the home of John Webb, 49, and Sarah A. Webb, 49, at Baptist Chapel Lane, Drayton Parslow, Buckinghamshire, England. The nephew of the couple, Frederick Pitre, 7, was also residing in the home. He was described as 5 foot 9 inches in height; ruddy complexion; dark brown eyes; and black hair. He was a member of the Church of England.

Private Arthur Frederick Burton died on January 17, 1917, killed in action. He is buried at MAROC BRITISH CEMETERY, Nord, France (Grave Reference: I. M. 2.) His next of kin is denoted as Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burton of London, England.
