Webb, 49, at Baptist Chapel Lane, Drayton Parslow, Buckinghamshire, England. The nephew of the couple, Frederick Pitre, 7, was also residing in the home. (Source: 1901 Census of England; Class: RG13; Piece: 1358; Folio: 113; Page: 1.)

In 1905, the Kensington docked at Halifax, then Portland, where 269 boys, including Arthur Fr. Th. Burton, 8, and his brother Edward Charles Burton, 9, disembarked. The original list was lost and a list prepared in 1934 appears on the reel.

He declared that he resided at 1035 Pender Street West, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; that he was born in London, England; that his next of kin was his brother, Arthur Burton, who was a soldier in the 91st O/S Battalion, O.E.F. St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada (EDITORS NOTE: Another name, Weslie Johns, of Ontario, a farmer / friend, was added as next kin, probably due to the death in January 1917 of Private Arthur Burton in France); that he was born April 28, 1894; that he was not married; and that he was a labourer. He was described as 5 foot 7-1/2 inches in height; clear complexion; brown eyes; and black hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
