Attestation papers were signed 2 Feb 1916 in Ripley, Ontario. Blair states he was born 6 Sep 1897 in Ipswich, England. He is a Farm Labourer in Ripley, Ontario. His Next of Kin was sister Lily Tope, first listed in London, England, that listed as Lily James of 8 Frankfort Street, Plymouth, England. 5'2 1/2" in height with grey eyes and dark brown hair, he had 4 vaccination marks on his right arm. Religion was listed as Methodist.

He died 15 Dec 1918 in Colbourg Military Hospital in Kingston, Ontario. Official Cause of Death on his Ontario Death Record was of Influenza Pneumonia. He had previously suffered gunshot wounds to the next and left arm, and was suffering from exhaustion and psychosis (Colbourg housed soldiers with cases of 'Shell-Shock', which we now know as PTSD).

Lilly Spencer Blair Pollard is listed in the England & Wales National Probate Calendar Index of Wills and Administrations in 1951. Of Armada Road, Cawsand, Corwall. A spinster, she died 24 May 1951 in Lamellion Hospital in Liskeard. She left her estate to Lily James, wife of Charles James.
