Notes In 1912, Harry Ross, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 181 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
A copy of the register of his birth was sent to him when he was an adult and applying for Canadian citizenship, which named his mother as Mary Ann Ellen WARNE. In the 1891 Jersey census, there is a Mary Ann Ellen WARNE (age 9) who has siblings, and the parents are John WARNE and Mary Ann Ellen WARNE. The WARNE family appears to have lived in a mulitple-family dwelling, perhaps suggesting that they were part of the working-class poor.
On September 10, 1927, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a marriage was registered between Harry Warne Ross and Louise Eleanor Grace Cheadle.
