NotesIn 1883, Ellen Tunstall, 10 (along with sister, Annie Tunstall, 9), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 126 children.

"Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent at Hamilton, Ontario, on girls brought out from the West Derby and State Workhouses by Miss Rye as of December 18, 1884.

Ellen Tunstall, 10. William Sanderson, Effingham, Pelham. A good girl, willing and obedient, goes to day school in winter, and attends the Protestant church and Sunday school regularly.

The home is everything that could be desired.
