NotesClara Bertha was sent to Canada from St Chads Home for Girls, Headingley, Leeds on the 19th March, 1903. She landed in Halifax and was transferred to "Our Western Home" at Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario. In june 1903 she was placed with a Mrs Bruce Harman at 25 Cecil St, Toronto. I have not been able to find any further trace of my great aunt Clara Bertha (known as Bertha)but if she had descendants, they have lots of living relatives here in England.
