Attestation papers signed 5 Nov 1915 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. William Seager was born 17 Jun 1884 in London, England. His Next of Kin information was all listed as 'not known' and then Eve Benson of Eslibank (?), Saskatchewan. His occupation was listed as a Farmer in Parkbey, Saskatchewan. 5'2" in height with grey eyes and brown hair. His religion was listed as Church of England. An addition out of 'Attested subject to leave until tattoo Thursday 11 Nov 1915' signed by Capt. Wooliuan.

Commonwealth War Graves Register states that he was Killed in Action. Also where he fell was about Sht 28. D. 4. d. 9.9. b of D. Circumstances of Casualty states that he was killed during an attack made by his Battalion on the enemy positions in the vicinity of Passchendaele.
