NotesJames and Arthur were twin brothers who at the age of 10 where given the choice to remain in England and be placed in a workhouse or migrate to Canada. They chose Canada.

Born to Ellen Giblin and James William Hepton. Ellen died in 1902. It is believed James remarried but he himself passed in 1908. His new wife was unable to care for the boys and left them with an Uncle. He too, felt he was unable to care for them and turned them over to the state.

It is believed that James was sent to a family in Lowbanks, Ont in Halimand Country as a farmhand. It is believed that he married and divorced before moving to Winnipeg.

Arthur is thought to have been sent to the Belleville area.

They were separated once they arrived and never saw one another again. It would be nice to find out their separate histories and reunite them here.
