In 1893, A S Brittain, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 166 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Arthur arrived in Winnipeg about 1911.

Arthur Samuel Britton married Emily Parkinson, on June 4, 1919, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

At least 2 children were born of this marriage: Eleanor Britton, born about 1920, died May 4, 1959 and Mildred Joan Britton.

Emily Parkinson Britton died January 25, 1926, at the age of 28, at Ninette, Manitoba, Canada. She was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Suddenly on May 18, 1961, at the Concordia Hospital, Arthur Samuel Britton, aged 75 years of 184 Johnson Avenue. Funeral service will be held at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Tuesday, May 23 at 1 p.m. Rev. D. A. MacLean will officiate. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Courtesy parking west of the funeral chapels.
