In 1901, Ada Beresford, 16 (along with her sister Daisy Beresford, 15), arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of of 99 Barnardo children en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, accompanied by Mr. Owen.

In Barnardos UPS & DOWNS, VIII July - Aug 1902 - Under CHIT-CHAT Page 52 -58, "Ada and Daisy Beresford place near each other."

On April 2, 1907, in Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Ada Blanche Beresford, 22, born in England; and Frederick Arthur Quinney, 22, born in England.

Frederick and Ada Quinney had five children: Frederick Quinney; Sydney Alfred Quinney, born 29 Mar 1909; George Quinney; Grace Quinney, born 23 Apr 1907; Kathleen Elizabeth Quinney, born 7 Mar 1916

On October 13, 1922, in Weston Sanitorium, York Township, York, Ontario, Canada, Ada Blanche Quinney, 37, died of phthisis pulmonalis (tuberculosis), contributed by tuberculous laryngitis, the duration of which was 7 weeks. She was shown as the wife of Frederick Arthur Quinney, who resided at 77 Berkley Street, York, York, Ontario, Canada, and that she was born in England to George Beresford and Maud Phoebe Tacheron. She was buried on October 14, 1922 in St. Johns Cemetery.
