Notes In 1887, W Goode, 15, arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in a group of 10 boys from Barton Regis, Bristol, England.
"From the Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

William Good, aged 15. From Barton Regis Union. Now with Mr. Griffin, Annesdale P. Office, Parish Johnson, Queen's County.? First placed with Abraham Fairweather, Springfield, Kiog's County, who did not report well of him; would go away for a week at a time, and, getting a scolding for it, left and had been with several before reaching Mr. Griffin. Went from Perry Cowan, Springfield, to Mr. Griffin, who says he, so far, likes the boy very well; with his varied experience may settle down as he is now in his 18th year."
