Notes In 1887, Thomas Brown, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 18 children from Croydon Union Workhouse, Surrey, England, accompanied by Rev. R. F. Winter and en route to various places.

Thomas Brown, aged 15. From Croydon Union. Placed with Mr. Glass, Cowansville, P. Q.?Satisfactory report; this lad gives perfect satisfaction, and is healthy and contented."
