"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.
Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent at Hamilton, Ontario.
Mary A. O'Tool, aged 11, from West Derby Union, placed with Timothy I. Foley, farmer, Edin Grove, Ontario. This child is really bad, and has given a great deal of trouble to her guardians. She has a violent temper, stubborn, revengeful, disobedient, and deceitful; attends church with the family. The Foley's have also adopted a boy of whom they speak very highly; and he is very much attached to them."
