with George McAlpine, farmer, Lower Gagetown, Queens, NB
August 12 1902
Age 13, desirable situation, employed at general light work, good health-not particularly strrong and has been subject to a cough.
Attends Free Baptist Church, well behaved. Terms-Board and Clothing, Verbal Understanding. Mr McAlpine is a first class farmer, and this place is very suitable for a boy. Mrs McAlpine states that Witchell takes an interest in his work and is a willing lad. Except for one personal habit he would be satisfactory.
