Notes In 1887, Richard Phillips, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 73 children from the Canadian Catholic Emigration Committee, Archbishops House, Westminster, London, England, accompanied by Rev. Thomas Seddon and en route to Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Richard Phillips, aged 14. From parish of Paddington. Placed with Joseph Quinlin, Lot 2, Con. 4, South Gloucester P.O., Co. Russell, Ontario.?Joseph Quinlan left for the Western States, and the boy is at present living with Thos. Quinlan, father of his former master, and is remarkably comfortable. Address, Jockvale P.O., Nepean, Co. Carleton, Ontario."
