NotesIn 1887, Patrick O'Brien, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 77 children from London Union accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Patrick O'Brien, aged 16. From Poplar Union. Placed with John Kennedy, Lot 27, Con. 4, Eardley P.O., Co. Ottawa, P.Q.?Comfortably placed, attends school during winter; the boy is contented; should be put under wages."
