NotesIn 1887, John Brian, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 10 boys accompanied by Cardinal Manning en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. John A. Donaldson, Government Immigration Agent at Toronto.

John Behan, aged 13. From Stepney Union. Placed with Michael J Mahon, Lot 23, Con. 2, Chesterfield P.O.?No such persons as Behan or Mahon to be found near Chesterfield. Evidently a mistake in the address. Should it not be Chesterville."
