Notes Sent by West Ham Union,
with Robert Perrault, farmer, P.O Orleans, Lot 5, Con 4, Gloucester Twp, Carleton, Ontario
November 30 1900
I find that this boy has never been in the employ of Mr Perrault of Orleans Post Office nor of any one residing in this vicinity. I have written the Superintendent requesting her to furnish his correct address.

Age 15, good home, employed at usual farm chores, health-a hardy boy, attends Roman Catholic Church, not school, character-good, terms-receives his board and clothing. This boy is contented, well clothed, and does not find his work too hard. He states that Mr Costello "is an easy master" and "takes pains to teach him how to do his work". He would not care to leave. This home appears to be comfortable and neat. The only fault they find the lad is that he is rather hasty tempered

Age 16, comfortable home, this youth is rather unsettled here. He is in receipt of $3 per month, but, in my opinion, such a stout, strong chap should do better in this regard. He is employed at general farm work,-no difficulty should be found in getting him another place, if he cannot come to satisfactory terms with Mr Costello
