Notes St Pancras Children admitted to RC Schools
On 17 October 1890, George Gilmore, born 1885, admitted to St Vincents School, Mill Hill, on January 30 1896 transfered to St Charles School, Brentwood, Grandmother Mrs Wilson, 28 Kelly St, motherless, father deserted previously in prison
On May 20 1892, George went back to the school from the Infirmary and was reportedly sent to St Charles School on July 11 1893 by this time his father was reported to be in the workhouse with family 27 November 1890
On 11 July 1893, George Gilmore, 8, was admitted to Brentwood Schools from Mill Hill Schools. On 6 July 1899, he was discharged 'to be emigrated to Canada'

Age 12, very suitable home, employed at chores about the farm and house, a stout, healthy boy, attends Roman Catholic Church, home tuition, character-Mr Conway says that he is proud of George Gilmore, he is a boy of excellent character. Terms-Board and $15 per year applied towards clothing. The lad appears to be contented. He was neatly dressed, and very polite. He is the third immigrant boy Mr Conway has had-one remained with him for seven years. This lad has beyond doubt a good home.
