Notes In 1885, Elizabeth Schmidt, 9 (along with brother, William Schmidt, 15; and sister, Catherine Schmidt, 11), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 43 Roman Catholic children accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Rimouski, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
