NotesIn 1885, William Mansfield, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 43 Roman Catholic children accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Rimouski, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.

Report of Mr. R. Doyle, Assistant Immigration Agent at Quebec.

Wm. Mansfield, aged 14, from City of London Union, placed with Amable St. Laurent, Rimouski, in 1885. Same place; very good boy, good health, well clad, no wages, works about house, well placed, corresponds with his sister in London."
