NotesIn 1885, Louis Battago, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 43 Roman Catholic children accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Rimouski, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Louis Bataza, aged 15, from Greenwich Union, placed with Hy. A. Murphy, Quebec City, in 1885. Went to St. Patrick's Orphanage, Ottawa, November 1885; traced him to Thos. Reagh, farmer, of Metcalfe, Russell Co., Ontario; well pleased, good health, well clad, works on farm, no wages, quite satisfied."
