Notes In 1885, John Brassil, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 43 Roman Catholic children accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Rimouski, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

John Brassil, 25, fireman, returned to the United Kingdom on the ship Gallia on August 24, 1896.
