Notes Johannah was born in 1913 - both her and her sister were placed in St Mary's Orphanage, Walthamstow and she was discharged in 1928. In a space of days she had been transferred to Liverpool, and was placed on the Montcalm and was sent as a domestic servant to Quebec, Canada and eventually to the receiving home Wellington Street, Ottawa.
In 1928, Johannah Johnson, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 67 boys and 16 girls from the Catholic Emigration Association en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
From there we are still awaiting details from Canada to find out what happened to her.
