Notes In 1908, Edward Allen, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 32 boys with the Catholic Emigration Assocation accompanied by Rev.Father Garrett and en route to St. George Home, Hintonburg, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Edward came from the Stepney Workhouse and was placed with the McCarthy family in Carleton, Ontario.
On November 27, 1919, at Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Edward Allen, 25, laborer, born in England to George Allen and Bridget Turner; and another homechild, Mary Bailey, 23, servant, born in England to Richard Bailey and Annie Malloy.
