In 1912, John Brennan, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 54 boys from the Catholic Emigration Association en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. (Two of his sisters also emigrated about 1907.)
John was placed as a farm laborer in the Carp area of Eastern Ontario.
On November 10, 1926, at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between John Patrick Brennan, 27, sailor, born in Liverpool England, to John Brennan and Winifed McGreavy; and another home child, Catherine Fincher, 20, domestic servant, born in London England, to Frederick Fincher and Helen Robertson. Witnesses were Joseph Eugene & Mary Proulx of 116 Stirling Ave in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
James and Kate Fincher Brennan had seven children: James Brennan; Jean Brennan; George Brennan; Joan Brennan; Paul Brennan; Robert Brennan; and John F. Brennan.
Kate Lilian Fincher Brennan died July 3, 1987, at Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. John Patrick Brennan died March 18, 1953, at Cornwall, Ontario, Canada.
