Notes Sent by Lambeth Union
with J Quinn, farmer, P.O Glen Almond, Labelle, Quebec
August 2 1900
Age 12, good home, employed at farm chores, very good health, attends Roman Catholic Church, school four months during the winter, character good, terms-$5 per year, clothing and schooling. Mr Quinn states that this little boy is quite upto his expectations, he is fond of him, and says that he is improving. I regret that Mrs Quinn does not appear to share the same good opinion of him that her husband does. She states that she cannot depend on him. Alfred Allen is of fair size for his age, and is a nice bright looking lad. He says that they treat him well and he would not care to leave. The Quinn's appear to be comfortable farmers, and reside in a pleasant locality.
