with Mrs P J O'Neil, P.O Kemptville, Grenville, Ontario
April 30 1900
Age 14, good home, employed as general servant, good health, attends Roman Catholic Church, character-rather sulky and impudent otherwise good. Terms-Wages $4 per month. Mrs O'Neil is only fairly satisfied with her, and unless she improves will not keep her. The girl does not appear to be contented, and says that she does not like looking after children

with Mrs J J Taylor, 176 Clandeboye Avenue, Montreal City, Quebec
May 8 1902
Age 16, there is a great improvement in Margaret Gillum since she came here, and the change in my opinion a wise one. She is learning well and Mrs Taylor is much pleased with her. She receives $5 per month wages which is very fair for a beginner
