Notes Sent by Greenwich Union
with Walter Weathers, farmer, P.O Stanley Corners, Carleton, Ontario
January 8th 1901
Age 17, good home, employed at ordinary farm work, health-a very rugged boy, attends Roman Catholic Church, character-good,
Terms-No definite agreement as to wages at present. This boy since his arrival in Canada has shifted considerably. He was first placed with Jacob Burchatt, P.O Glen Almond, Quebec, in whose employ, he states, he remained for 10 months or so. He next went to the employ of Mr Delaney, P.O Blackburn, Ontario remaining here for about 7 months. Last autumn he came to his present address. Owing to these changes of addresses his inspection has been unavoidably delayed. Mr Weathers, his present employer, speaks well of
Finnerty and states that he gives him satisfaction. Finnerty is well satisfied here, he likes farming and is well treated by the family. He is a large, able bodied young fellow, and should make a good farmer. He has a very comfortable home here.
