Notes In 1884, Elizabeth O'Connor, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 65 children from the Catholic Protective Society.

Elizabeth O'Connor, aged 11, from West Derby Union, placed with Mrs. James McGowan, Kingston, corner King Street and Place d'Armes. Very pleased with the child, who attends school, bright girl, fairly educated, now in 3rd reader, pleased with home."
James McGowan died on December 28, 1889. Elizabeth continued to reside with his widow, Ann McGowan in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
