Notes In 1914, Hugh McDougall, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with another boy, James McKenzie, 17, who were en route to Cossar Farm, Receiving Home and Distributing Centre for Scotch Lads, near Lower Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada.
Hugh is remembered by a monunument to the Cossar Farm boys who served in the Great War:
"In loving memory of the boys of Cossar Farm killed in action in the Great War and died in Canada"
