Notes Sent to Canada by Middlesbrough Union, placed with Henry McMullen, Milk Dealer, 1060 St James St, Montreal, inspection undertaken on September 6 1898
Age about 15, only fair home, employed at general work around the house and assisting with the Milk, health good, attends Roman Catholic Church, character fair, reported as rather crafty, terms-board, lodging and clothing. Mr McMullen complains that the boy is
disobedient and careless. Boy says he is satisfied, did not appear to be in the very best condition, I am inclined to think that he would be better placed in the country. He was very reticent it being almost impossible to obtain information from him.
